This meat packing plant is very profitable and has been established 40 years. The current owners has had it 12 years, but owns a much larger company 4 hours away and he wants to focus all his time on the larger business. He has mostly absentee run this company which leaves a lot of room to grow it. They are only running about 30% capacity. They have their own well recognized name of premium hot dogs, but can produce any blend content to customer specs. One large account buys bacon from them which is smoked/cooked on site. This account will want to stay with the new owner and Seller can discuss. But over half the business is with other smaller accounts. In early 2009, a plant manager was hired and is doing great things in the business. New sales people are being evaluated now. Sales are expected to grow again in 2009 as they have grown the past several years even during the recession. The Seller believes sales will soon be in the $8M to $9M range. For 2009 they should be about $6M. The business and real estate plant are being offered together for a price of $2.5M with the Seller retaining his own working capital. Adjusted Earnings/Cash flow in 2008 exceeded $500,000 and is continuing to grow in 2009.
